NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Liberty Hill will be conducting public hearings to consider a request for zoning map amendment for property located at 106 Nita Cove. This property is currently zoned Low Density Residential (SF1) and the property owner is requesting to rezone to Duplex Residential (TF). Low Density Residential (SF1) This district is intended to provide for conventional detached single-family dwellings at a density not exceeding one dwelling unit per acre. The character of these developments is rural, protected from incompatible uses and with adequate facilities and services. Duplex Residential (TF) The duplex or two-family district is intended to provide opportunities for two attached single-family residences at a maximum density of 8 units per acre. Duplexes are intended to provide affordable housing options, but should not occupy more than 20% of all units in single-family residential subdivisions The Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council will hold Public Hearings on March 9, 2010 and March 22, 2010 respectively to receive comments on the merits of this request. The property is located in Purser Estates II, Lot 24. City Council is scheduled to take final action on the proposed re-zoning following the pubic hearing. Anyone having an interest in this request is invited to attend and present comments to the City Council for consideration at this meeting.
